As an editor, it is my job to help you tell the story you want to tell. I want to work with you to make your story the best it can be. I can help you strengthen your plot, characters, themes, and worldbuilding, as well as provide line-edits with an eye for tone, continuity, and general polish. My goal is to work with writers to create something they are proud of, and to help make that difficult process as painless as possible. I have experience reading and writing in many different genres and styles, and am certain that I can add value and clarity to your work.

Developmental Editing
High-level consultation on how to structure your plot, characters, and themes. What is the heart of your story? How can we bring that out clearly for your readers? This is the big picture stuff. Here I’ll work with you to make your worldbuilding more cohesive, your characters more compelling, and your plot more climactic and exciting.
Copy Editing
Line-editing with a particular eye for tone, continuity, and consistency. During a copy edit I’ll work with you to make sure your prose is compelling and strong, with a consistent and clear tone. Here is where I’ll make sure your manuscript has a clear, coherent voice, address continuity issues, and work with you to elevate your manuscript.
Proofreading
Careful editing of your manuscript to make sure it is free from grammatical and typographical errors. This is the final step in the editing process. During a proofread, I won’t suggest changes to your writing, I will strictly make sure your manuscript is formatted correctly and is free of grammatical and spelling mistakes.
